The order of steps
- 1
Certify the document where it was issued
Most foreign documents must first carry an apostille from the issuing country, or consular legalization if that country is not party to the Hague Apostille Convention. This cannot be done in Turkey.
- 2
Sworn translation into Turkish
A sworn translator registered with a Turkish notary translates the document, including the apostille, and signs and stamps the translation.
- 3
Notarization
A Turkish notary certifies the translation. Most Turkish offices ask for this.
- 4
Submit
You submit the original, its apostille and the notarized translation to the office handling your file.
Names in Latin and non-Latin scripts
Your name must read the same way in every document. We follow the spelling in your passport, which is what Turkish offices match against. If your documents are in Arabic, Persian, Russian, Chinese or another non-Latin script, tell us the passport spelling of every name before we start, including parents' names.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a translation made in my home country?
In most procedures Turkish offices ask for a translation by a sworn translator in Turkey, notarized by a Turkish notary. If you already have a translation made abroad, ask the receiving office whether it accepts it before relying on it.
Do I need to come to the office?
Not to start. Send a clear scan or photo by WhatsApp or email for the quote and the translation, and we will tell you whether the notary needs to see the original for your document.
How long does it take?
Common documents such as passports and civil status certificates are often translated and notarized the same day. Longer or rarer documents take longer, and we confirm the time with the quote.
Which languages do you translate into Turkish?
We translate into Turkish from 15 languages, including English, Arabic, Russian, Persian, German, French, Spanish and Chinese. Each language page lists the documents typical of the countries that use it.
