Most documents that leave Turkey need more than a translation. The receiving country wants proof that the Turkish signature and seal on the document are real, and the apostille is that proof, under the 1961 Hague Convention to which Turkey is a party.
The work is usually three steps in a fixed order: a sworn translation, a notary certification of that translation, and then the apostille from the authorised public office. In Turkey those offices are split by document type, with governorships handling administrative documents and courthouses handling judicial ones. We run all three steps together.
The order matters more than anything else on this page. A document issued abroad is apostilled in its own country first, then translated and certified here. Getting that backwards is the most common and most expensive mistake, because it can mean paying for the same translation twice.

Frequently asked questions
Which documents can be apostilled?
Public documents: civil status certificates, court and notarial documents, educational certificates and official corporate records. A private document usually has to be notarised first so that it becomes notarial.
Do you apostille documents issued abroad?
Foreign documents are apostilled in the country that issued them, not here. We handle the translation and notary steps once they arrive, and tell you what to arrange at home first.
What if the destination country is not in the Convention?
Then an apostille does not apply and the document goes through consular legalisation instead, via the relevant ministry and that country's mission. Tell us the country and we will confirm which route it is.
Does an apostille prove the document is true?
No. It authenticates the signature, seal and capacity of the official who issued it. It says nothing about whether the contents are correct.
How long does it take?
It depends on the document, the issuing office and their workload. Send the document and we will give you a realistic timeline rather than a general one.
