A sworn Chinese to Turkish translation is made by a translator who has taken an oath before a Turkish notary. That oath is what lets a notary certify the translation, and it is why Turkish offices, courts and consulates accept it where an ordinary translation is not enough.

Names and script
Mainland Chinese civil documents are usually presented not as the original record but as a notarial certificate issued by a notary office, which restates the facts and is frequently bilingual. A bilingual notarial certificate is still not a Turkish translation, and a Turkish notary certifies the Turkish text. Chinese names put the family name first, which Turkish forms reverse, so we set out which part is the surname and follow the passport spelling.

The authentication route for mainland documents changed recently, and Hong Kong and Macau have long followed their own arrangements. Tell us where the document was issued and we will confirm the current route before you commission anything.

Frequently asked questions
My notarial certificate already has English on it. Is that enough?
No. Turkish offices need a sworn translation into Turkish, and the notary certifies that Turkish text. A bilingual Chinese and English certificate does not replace it.
Which name is my surname in the Turkish translation?
Chinese names give the family name first. We follow the passport spelling and state explicitly which part is the surname, so the Turkish record does not reverse it.
Do you also translate from Turkish into Chinese?
Yes. We work in both directions - Chinese to Turkish and Turkish to Chinese.
