A sworn German to Turkish translation is made by a translator who has taken an oath before a Turkish notary. That oath is what lets a notary certify the translation, and it is why Turkish offices, courts and consulates accept it where an ordinary translation is not enough.

Names and script
German umlauts and the sharp s are the recurring problem. A passport may render Müller as MUELLER while the Geburtsurkunde shows Müller, and Strauß may appear as Strauss. Both are correct, but a Turkish office comparing them side by side sees a mismatch. We reproduce the original form and note the passport spelling so the notary can see they are the same person.
Before you send it
Documents issued in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are authenticated by the authorities of the issuing state, and a German Fuehrungszeugnis in particular is often required to be recent. Order it close to the date you will submit it, not months ahead.

Frequently asked questions
Do you translate an Apostille that is already on the German document?
Yes. The apostille is part of the document and is translated with it, so the Turkish office can read what was certified and by whom.
Are Austrian and Swiss documents handled the same way?
The translation is the same. The authentication step differs, because each country designates its own authority, and Swiss cantonal documents may be authenticated at cantonal level first.
Do you also translate from Turkish into German?
Yes. We work in both directions - German to Turkish and Turkish to German.
